ABOUT US |
History of
Lasting Impressions Event Rentals
Lasting
Impressions Event & Party Rentals,
Inc. (LI) began business
in 1991 with Joel Birch as sole
shareholder. In 1992, Karl Liesinger and Mark Buddlemeyer purchased
100% of LI's stock as
equal shareholders. J.P. Fritz was
brought in as a financial advisor and
interested investor.
I n 1995, LI moved into a
12,000-square-foot warehouse at 207
North 4th Street. LI continued its
growth and purchased the rental
inventory of KG Marx in May 1998,
expanding to 24,000-square-feet.
At the
end of 1998, Fritz bought Liesinger's
interest and became the sole
shareholder.
In 2000, LI moved to its present
location at 1890 East Main Street.
The new facility
allowed the company to
grow exponentially in size and services.
The four-story, 40,000-square-foot
building has been transformed in order
to make Lasting Impressions Event
Rentals the most efficient event rental
company in the area. Some examples
include:
- a large dock to accommodate
three trucks was added
- dish washroom fitted with a high
temp dish machine
- a commercial laundry installed
that is able to wash 250lbs of
laundry an hour
- wood and metal shop was
specifically designed to maintain
equipment and build props
- an attached building is
dedicated solely to the housing and
maintenance of tents
In March of 2003, a
5000-square-foot showroom and office
area was opened on the second floor. In 2005, Fritz
purchased the inventory of Action
Rentals. The acquisition has
sizably increased the amount of
equipment LI is able to offer its
clients.
The recent purchase of a new
Clearspan tent is the first
acquisition of many that will
further broaden LI's ability to
serve its clients. The Tent
Department is in the process of
moving to a leased 42,000 sq.ft.
facility on Alum Creek Drive just
minutes from LI. The addition
to designers to the staff has
invigorated the Props & Decor
Department and jump-started the
creation of a much-needed swatch
book.
In April of 2006, LI purchased
the assets of ACME Events out of
Cleveland and opened a new branch of
service to the Cleveland area. On
May 23, 2007, LI purchased the
rental assets of AAA Rental & Sales.
AAA Rental & Sales was an early
innovator in the party rental
industry. The purchase increases the
depth of inventory LI can offer. Lasting Impressions Event Rentals
continues to purchase equipment in
order to supply Central Ohio with
the latest in industry trends and
stay at the cutting edge of event
design.
